MAKERS 2023
Makers 2023 Opening Ceremony and Face-to-Face Meetings
October 28, 2023
Today, the last in-person meeting of the Makers 2023 hybrid program took place. In the virtual and practical segment, they will continue to perfect the application of what they have learned in marketing and sales to be able to offer their products in a small market, which is possible thanks to the support of the Municipality of Samborondón. Makers is an initiative of Inspira Ecuador, a network of former scholarship holders of programs supported by the United States Department of State, with the support of Líderes Hub, a Leadership Network that linked several organizations such as ECOTEC University, Roots Cosmética, Detalles Lorenita and Global Shapers Guayaquil.
During the inauguration, the following people participated in the board of directors and gave speeches: Juan José Yúnez, Mayor of Samborondón; Erik Martini, Consul General of the United States in Guayaquil; Gilda Alcívar, Rector of the ECOTEC University; Carlos Ortega, Vice-Rector of the ECOTEC University; Jodie Padilla, Inspira Leader in Guayaquil (mentor) and leader of the initiative; and Silvia Tumbado, new Inspira Leader in Guayaquil.
The training sessions were held at the Samborondón Campus of the ECOTEC University and, for the first time for the Inspira Ecuador community, training sessions were held at the United States Consulate in Guayaquil, hosted by the Press and Culture Department, led by its director Olga Bashbush.
