About Jodie Padilla Lozano

Founder of Líderes Hub ® and International Speaker

 

Jodie Padilla Lozano, engineer, specialized in higher education with a major in economics from the University of Buenos Aires - Argentina, also has a master's degree in innovation and business development from the University of Valencia - Spain.

She is currently the founder of “Líderes Hub” where she trains current and future leaders in the exercise of leadership, programs developed with a scientific basis, with specialties such as promoters of equity and inclusion, or competitiveness and innovation. Inspira Leader, representing in Guayaquil the community of alumni of programs funded by the US Department of State. Previously, she created “Team Matilde”, a social and voluntary campaign that rescued (2017-2022) the legacy of Matilde Hidalgo, the first woman voter in Latin America, her great-great-aunt, achieving the support of Google, the National Assembly and the Vice Presidency of Ecuador for different cultural and social initiatives.

 

As an activist, postgraduate professor, author and scientific researcher, she also carries out the following activities: columnist for Diario El Universo, YLAI 2022 alumni (Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative), EML 2022 alumni (Emerging Media Leaders), Climate Reality Leader, first Ecuadorian member of the Network of Experts on Gender Parity, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation of the World Economic Forum and local member of the Competitiveness Research Team founded by Michael E. Porter at Harvard Business School.

 

Recognitions: (1) “Matilde Hidalgo Cultural Merit” from the National Assembly, (2) international designation “Distinguished Lady” from the ODAEE and the Municipality of Guayaquil, (3) recipient of an agreement from the Vice Presidency of Ecuador, (4) first Ecuadorian youth leader attending Davos 2021 - Annual Assembly of the World Economic Forum (virtually), (5) first Ecuadorian to be selected for the second time to attend Davos 2024 where she was a speaker (in person), (6) Young Leader creating a world better for everyone, Women Economic Forum LATAM; (7) first Ecuadorian winner of the "Share Your Voice" Global Writing Contest, Girls In Tech HQ San Francisco, which emphasizes volunteerism, academic excellence and activism, and (8) Curator of Global Shapers Guayaquil (2020-2021 and 2023-2024).

She has given talks at universities, conferences and educational initiatives and programs of national and international organizations (in Spanish and English) such as: World Economic Forum, TEDx, International Labor Organization, UN Women, United Nations Global Compact, International Center for Journalists , Global Shapers Community and American Embassy in Ecuador. The locations in which she has been a keynote speaker and panelist are: Davos - Switzerland, Chihuahua - Mexico, Viña del Mar - Chile, Mar del Plata - Argentina, Manta - Ecuador, Quito - Ecuador and her hometown Guayaquil, Ecuador.
